Delivery to the European Community

IOSS

We will be trading with customers in the EU using the IOSS Scheme (Import One Stop Shop). Under this scheme, we are able to collect the VAT applicable to your country when you place your order and there will be no other charges or duty to pay when you get the goods.  The UK VAT of 20% will be deducted from your goods and this will be shown in your shopping cart when you are logged in (and your correct country is selected). The website will automatically add on the VAT at the rate applicable to your country and this amount will be added on to your shipping charge. The maximum order value for goods purchased under this scheme is €149.99 (excluding VAT). You can use the currency converter in the shopping cart to see the cost of your goods in Euros. If your order comes to more than €149.99 (ex. VAT) you can place more than one order. There would be a shipping charge for each order and goods would be sent separately. If you want to order a single item costing more than €149.99 (ex. VAT), please email us.

Shipping charges outside of the UK Mainland is calculated by weight and size of the parcel. The shipping  charge will be calculated automatically taking into account the weight and size of the items you order and with an allowance for the packaging. If you find that the shipping for your order seems expensive, you can try editing your shopping cart to see if that reduces the charge. Taking out heavy or large items will reduce the shipping charge.

Small Parcels

Parcels up to 2Kg and less than 18" x 15" and do not contain any solvent based items such as oil paints and oil mediums going to European Union countries.

Small light parcels can be sent within Europe by Royal Mail. The following prices are as a guide only. You will see the exact price when you add items to your shopping cart.:

Small packets sent by Royal Mail have tracking details which will be emailed to you.  Where it is less expensive to send your order by DPD carrier, we will use the less expensive service.  See Carrier prices below.

Medium & Large Parcels

Parcels between 2Kg and 25Kg and/or larger than 18" x 15" or contain any non-flammable solvent based items such as oil paints and oil mediums.

The prices in the table below are for DPD road transportation with tracking details. 

When placing an order from an EU country, the UK VAT of 20% will be deducted from the goods and the appropriate VAT for your country will be added on to the shipping costs below.  When you place an order the shipping costs include the appropriate VAT for your country - you will not be required to pay any additional duties/taxes when the parcel arrives in your country.   The maximum order is limited to 149.99 Euro (this is for the art materials and does not include the shipping or VAT). Read more about the IOSS scheme here.

Delivery Times to EU Countries

The table below shows the approximate* delivery times in working days once the goods leave us.  (A working day is Monday to Friday and excludes Saturday and Sunday)

You will be sent an email when the goods are collected by our delivery company with tracking details if applicable.

*all delivery dates are approximate. On rare occasions, parcels may be subject to delays, a parcel is not considered lost until 25 days after dispatch. We do not have an express service to the outside the UK.

Special Note for Customers in The Republic of Ireland

Irish customs have excluded a large range of products from being imported into the country.  The items below are excluded at this time.

Natural Sponges,

Oils such as linseed oil, and any other vegetable oils.

Zest-it products and low odour thinners.

All watercolour, acrylic and oil paints and painting mediums and paint sets

Plastic products indlucing palettes, cutting mats, lino/

Metal items, such as empty metal paint boxes.

Insurance for orders sent outside the UK

All orders are insured against loss and damage.

Please note: There are certain oversized items such as large studio easels and big cartons of canvas which can't be shipped outside the UK. You will be notified if you have any of these restricted items in your cart when you set your country.
