Golden Open acrylics are specially formulated to have a slower drying rate than traditional acrylics. Not only does this mean that you have more time to mix and blend your colours, it also means that your colours will stay fresher for longer on your palette! Some artists find that in a sealed or covered palette their colours remain workable for weeks, resulting in much less dried and wasted paint. As they have a longer open time they are usable with techniques previously limited to oils, and can even be used in some printmaking methods. They have a slightly softer consistency than Golden's Heavy Body Acrylic colours.
