Last Chance to Buy White Nights Watercolour Paints

Grab our last remaining stock of White Nights Watercolour Paints and help those affected by the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis with your purchase.

In March, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we made the decision to remove White Nights Watercolour Paints from sale both online and in our physical shop. In the meantime, we have been looking for a suitable replacement that offers artists a watercolour paint of similar quality with the same bright vivid colours. We found exactly that in the Ukrainian made Rosa Gallery Watercolour Paints. Rosa Gallery Watercolour Paints are now available to buy in sets on our website. We’ll also have stock of both 10ml tubes and whole pans at the beginning of September.

To make way for these fantastic new paints we’re selling off our last remaining stock of White Nights Watercolour Paint. These paints will be available to purchase, while stocks last, with 10% of sales donated to the World Vision DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. This gives you the chance to secure the remaining stock of these watercolour paints, while supporting a good cause. You can find out more about World Vision’s work and the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal below.

Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks to check out our review of Rosa Gallery Watercolour Paints!

The DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

The DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) incorporates a number of UK charities that collaborate to raise funds and provide emergency aid to people affected by disasters and humanitarian crises all over the globe.

The invasion of Ukraine sparked the fastest growing reugee crisis since WWII, and up to now over 5 million people have fled to neighbouring countries. This number continues to grow, with most of those affected being women and children. There are also those trapped within Ukraine, forced to leave their homes but unable to flee the besieged country, who also require aid. Since the beginning of the crisis World Vision have provided emergency food and temporary shelter assistance along with hygiene kits, psychosocial support and child-friendly spaces to help children and families in urgent need of aid. Every donation helps World Vision to act fast and protect the children at risk.

    1. Hi Belinda, I am sorry that you are not happy with our actions in regard to White Knights. We did not take this decision lightly and we are disappointed to have to take this step. However, given the events that have happened and continue to happen, we feel that in all good conscience we cannot continue to do business in Russia. We have found an alternative watercolour that is in our opinion is as good as White Knights. Here is a link to the article about Rosa Fine Art Watercolour should you wish to have a look.

  1. As a very new artist I have found White Nights suited my needs very well; decent quality watercolours at an affordable price and very easy to obtain. Although I won’t now repurchase them as a matter of principle, I do intend to use up the pans that I already have. After reading this post last week I decided to invest in the landscape set of Rosa and I’m very pleased with it. I’m finding that the colours mix well, most of them have good dispersal and I think I’ll be happy to add some more colours once you start selling the pans separately. As you’re local to me I would be very happy if you were also able to consider stocking the Polish brand, Renesans. I think they would be a good addition to your inventory and at present it is only possible to purchase the loose pans from Portugal.

    1. Hi Nadine. Thanks for your feedback! Glad to hear you’re enjoying using the Rosa paints. I’ll certainly pass on the info about the Renesans paints and see if they’re something we could look at stocking in the future.

  2. It’s a real shame you’ve taken this action regarding White Nights paint. I shall continue to buy/use them as, in my opinion, they are the best water colour paint out there. Your competitors are still selling them, but I’ll go to White Nights directly as they’re cheaper.

    1. Hi Carol, I am sorry you are disappointed with our actions in this matter. This decision was not taken lightly and we are saddened to have to take this step. However, given the events that have happened and continue to happen, we feel we cannot in good conscience continue to do business with Russia.
