Brilliant orange-red with an organic, lightfast pigment. Mixed with ultramarine finest soft, neutral greys are achieved. The intensive reddish character is ideal for mixtures of very light reds.

Great transparent colour
All Schmincke watercolours are beautiful to use with a lovely creamy consistency and vibrant colours. I have used them for over 40 years and they are still in my paint box. The Transparent Orange makes the most beautiful colour for florals especially when mixed with opera pink. It is also a must for sunsets and adding a zing to paintings. Watered down, mixing with blues and violets the loveliest subtle colours can be obtained.
