Liquitex glazing medium is a fluid painting medium which enables you to create brilliant jewel like glazes with acrylic artist colours. It has excellent brushing and levelling qualities and dries quickly enabling rapid successive layers. You can mix it with any amount of acrylic paint, but small quantities of colour provide the most transparency. Any colour can be mixed with the glazing medium, but it is most effective when mixed with transparent or translucent colours. Once dry, it is flexible, non-yellowing and water resistant.

This is my favorite medium so far, but as with all mediums, I find I use a lot, as their use suits my style of working. Much better than using water, but its a shame they are so expensive.

Does what it says on the bottle :)
Helps keep paints transparent for more layers than gloss or matte medium does. Dries very glossy.
Works well with airbrushes for making something akin to 'candy colours' - dyes suspended in lacquer. Still though after some layers even the glaze medium + acrylic colours ends up opaque.1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you?
