Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Synthetic Sable Pointed Round Brushes are a completely synthetic brush that offer the performance you'd expect from sable. The Pointed Round profile is an adaptation of the traditional round with an extra fine, tapered point. This point is ideal for fine detail work where accuracy is paramount, whilst the belly holds plenty of colour.
The Professional Watercolour Synthetic range provides an innovative alternative to genuine sable. The specialist blend of synthetic bristles deliver excellent colour holding capacity, resilient spring and shape retention and great mark making ability. Colour flows consistently and evenly from a tip that retains its shape, with the right degree of spring for superior control.
These brushes have a unique sculpted, double-bodied handle that allows you to paint in comfort. The central dip in the short handle lets the brush rest comfortably in your hand, while the two curved areas allow for various holding positions.

These brushes suit me very well and are as good if not better than other often more expensive brushes I have used. I find the pointing particularly helpful for accuracy. They are very comfortable to hold and use. Above all they are animal friendly.
