  • Love it

I love this. Makes the watercolours shine. I tried it after reading about Samuel Palmer's use of it in his amazing watercolour paintings.

  • Excellent gum, horrible cork

The gum arabic has a really pleasant smell and is the perfect accessory for rendering streams, ponds and lakes. However, it is horribly difficult and frustrating opening this type of bottle. • Fascinating results.

I mixed this with different watercolour paints, and got some interesting results. In particular mixed with ultramarine and burnt umber, it produced a great metalic look for an old Yorkshire range that was in a painting I was creating of my great grandparent's living room!
