The Pro Arte Stephen Coates Scimitar Sword Liner Brush is a brush with a special shape that’s ideal for painting flowing lines in varying thicknesses. The scimitar or sword liner shape is almost a hybrid between a filbert and an angled brush. At the brush tip the shorter edge forms a gentle curve while the longer edge angles to a fine point. With this brush you can paint anything from intricate linework to bold, sweeping strokes. The durable synthetic fibres of this brush can hold a good amount of water, so you can paint without reloading.
This brush has a slightly longer handle than Pro Arte’s standard Sword Liner brush.

Good brushes
Another set of excellent ‘specialised’ brushes from Pro Arte Stephen Coates range. A sharp edge, exactly as its name describes it. Can be used in many situations where sharp, thin line or accents are called for.
