Description

This great set contains two burnishers, and two colourless blenders, as well as an eraser and pencil sharpener.

Blender

Blend colours together easily.

If you are working with coloured pencils and want to create a subtle blend of colours then the Derwent Blender Pencil is the ideal accessory. It is a soft colourless pencil made from the binder used for making coloured pencils and allows you to blend two or more colours together to create a new colour. At the same time it physically mixes and smoothes the colours so individual strokes and hard edges are softened.

Burnisher

Use over colour to create an impressive shine.

The Derwent Burnisher is a hard colourless pencil which when used over layers of pigment provides a rich polished finish. Burnishing pushes the pigment into the paper and leaves a very well blended, photo like finish. It makes the colours look brighter and can give an image a polished or reflective look by sealing it with a heavy layer of colourless wax.

  • Worth trying

Blender great for graphite pencil. Burnisher good for carbon pencil. Don't know about crayons, dont use them.

  • Items in the packet do the job nicely.

The blender does what it says on the packet and is very useful when working with coloured pencils. Unfortunately I didn't need the other items in the packet.

Burnisher works very well; blender doesn't seem to do much.
