Write a reviewThis brush itself is a work of art, extremely well made, long handle with very high quality ferrule and varnish, the bristles form a point without stray hairs. The brush has a full belly but forms a really nice and sharp point, the snap isn't as hard as a Series 7 but you still have control of the line weight by pressing harder or softer with good flow. The size and shape is almost identical to a Winsor & Newton Series 7 Size 3 but with a slightly shorter tip.
Lovely, springy with a sharp point, it held up beautifully on a very busy facepainting job. I have used series sevens for years and have been disappointed with every different brush I've tried until the Isabey! I now need a number 3!
Such a beautiful brush, it has everything a top of the line watercolor sable should - spring, point, water capacity - in addition to an indescribable aesthetic something (weight/balance/flow?) that makes painting an utter delight!
