Love these brushes, very versatile. Great for washes etc and just re-dip the brush tips for a crisp clean edge. Perfect.

Definitely a brush that takes time to get used to, both in terms of the style and the hairs getting "broken-in". It realistically takes about 50 semi-frustrating paintings until it really comes into its own, but what a pleasure it is to paint with afterwards!
You REALLY should get a few of Ron Ranson's DVDs as well, especially if you're a beginner and want to see what these brushes are capable of. I would also recommend Steven Cronin's Youtube channel, where he does a brilliant job of showing how easily you can paint a full landscape with these hake brushes.
I'm absolutely delighted with them (been using all the sizes), and would warmly recommend giving these hakes the time and the attention they rightfully deserve. And who knows, maybe they'll end up becoming the only brushes you will ever use. Alex (Dubai) on 12 Oct 2013
