Panart Handmade Watercolour Paper Sheets are available in packs of 5 sheets in both 300gsm and 600gsm weights. This paper is 100% cotton handmade watercolour paper with four deckled edges and is off-white in colour. The 600gsm paper has a rougher texture than the 300gsm, as shown in the photos. This paper is handmade so each sheet has a unique deckle and irregular texture.

Each sheet has a rough, non-uniform surface perfect for capturing granulation and other dramatic textures. The 300gsm weight is perfect for use with gouache and watercolour, while the heavier paper is also suitable for acrylic paints. Panart Handmade Watercolour Paper Packs are manufactured in India using traditional methods and are acid-free, air dried and eco-friendly.
Each pack contains five sheets of full imperial paper (22" x 30" - 56x76cm). We don’t cut this paper due to the irregular deckle and the gentle curve of each sheet. A4 and A3 packs are available if you are looking for smaller sheets.

Wow awesome paper!
If you like a really textured paper and perhaps use a "loose" style as I do you are going to love this paper. It reminds me of paper I once bought that was termed "Rugged" Sadly no longer available. I purchased both weights and have only used the 300gsm atm and I am overjoyed to have found a similar if not better paper. The surface is very easy to negotiate with large washes and allows a slightly longer drying time so wet in wet techniques are less demanding! I am sure you all know what I mean. I paint with a quick "florid" style and anyone else approaching in a similar manner will really enjoy this paper. No cockling on the 300gsm paper at half imperial btw. Enjoy and take care everyone.
