The difference between a portfolio and a carrying case - a portfolio contains ring binders for display of artwork in separate plastic sleeves whilst a 'carrying case' is simply a work carrier for transportation and storage without any ring binders.
I must admit that I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. It has a three-quarters zip that is reassuringly sturdy looking, a solid base and is made from stuff that seems pretty rugged.
As I think has been clarified in response to an earlier post, this doesn't have any fixings inside, but the rigid base is about an inch wide so you could use any thingy-ma-bob to organize. David Brown (Clevedon, United Kingdom) on 7 May 2014
I only needed this to store my (as yet) unmounted or framed canvases in but was disappointed that there were no clips to hold the plastic wallets. If it had said this in the description I probably wouldn't have bought it. Amanda Jones (Bury, United Kingdom) on 31 Oct 2013
