This Unison Colour Soft Pastel Half Stick Portrait Set contains 16 professional quality, handmade half size soft pastels in a selection of colours ideal for portrait painting. Each Unison pastel is handmade in the UK, has a smooth texture and highly pigmented colour.

The colours in this set have been carefully selected and curated by Unison's founder and artist John Hersey. The 16 colours included cover a spectrum of colour ideally suited to any pastel artist working in portraiture. The smoothness of these pastels makes them very easy to blend and each colour is incredibly vibrant as only the best artists' pigments are used - this also means they are exceptionally lightfast. Unison pastels are watersoluble, so they can be used alone, with water or with a variety of other mediums including watercolour, charcoal, pencil and oils.
