Winsor & Newton Cotman Studio 24 Whole Pan Set

Superb quality watercolour set within this category that will grow with you. The quality of the paint is excellent and the colour choice is well thought out. Full pans are a practical choice as you start to work larger and use bigger brushes - and you don't have to worry about using up your paint. I suspect there is more than enough paint to see an average student through A levels and Art College without too many top-ups. Mixing space is plentiful and easily accommodates wide flats or a mop brush, and the preparation of decent size washes. Both mixing areas are easily removable for cleaning or optimising your work space. Winsor Newton do not provide replacement Full Pan Cotman openstock, but Pans can be easily refilled economically from tube paint of either grade or by replacing it with the Artist grade Full Pan when that time comes. I have had my set now for about 5 years and it has grown with me as I advanced onto Artist grade paints. I do recommend holding on to the empty pans to re-fill, as many other brands do not fit easily in the palette as the half pan separator ribs get in the way.

My purchase is great. The amount of colours in the set are spot on. I have produced 2 x large watercolour paintings using these paints so far and they performed as I wanted. They mix and cover very well. I am very pleased.

I have not used this item myself however My Daughter has and she gave me the thumbs up on this product and that means ten out of ten, since she is an artist in her own right!!!
