Slice Ceramic Craft Knife with Safety Cap

Brand: Slice

The Slice Ceramic Craft Knife with Safety Cap has been specifically designed to be safer to use than a standard cutting knife or scalpel. These blades work perfectly on paper, are finger-friendly and will stay sharp for up to 11 x longer than a standard steel blade - meaning fewer blade changes and fewer injuries!

The durable nylon handle of the knife has a comfortable, ambidextrous design, with a cross-hatch metal grip for easy use. The ceramic blades are made from 100% zirconium oxide that is finger-friendly, non-sparking, chemically inert, safe up to 1600°C and will never rust.

The knife also includes a never-lost™ safety cap - an innovative design feature that incorporates the protective safety cover into the handle of the knife. To expose the blade, twist the cap to unlock and slide down the handle. Twist again to lock it out of the way while you work.

The knife includes 1 straight edge, round tip #10518 blade

Please note: this blade is not suitable for sharpening pencils.

  • Amazing product

I never leave reviews, however this little gem is worth the time. Absolutely fantastic for picking out highlights, spines on feathers etc. I’m using 300lb NOT paper but pretty sure it works on 140lb too. KB please stock the replacement blades as this is definitely staying in my w/c kit

  • Not very sharp

I bought this to sharpen pencils which was my mistake as it is not suitable for that at all, the blade is not sharp to the touch. Aside from that the handle is not very well made, the safety sleeve opens by itself far too easily, just picking up the knife is enough to dislodge it, the blades themselves also fall out quite easily. It does cut paper with a decent amount of pressure but I ended up just getting a stanley knife and using that for my needs instead.
