The Schmincke Horadam Aquarell Super Granulating Galaxy Set 5 x 5ml includes five tubes of Schmincke’s super granulating watercolour paints. The colours included in this set are:
Schmincke Horadam Aquarell Supergranulating Watercolours are made to the same professional quality as their standard Horadam Aquarell range. They are bound using high quality Kordofan Gum Arabic from the southern Sahara region, which means they can be easily rewet on your palette. These Supergranulating colours have enhanced granulation as each colour combines at least 2 granulating Horadam pigments. They are split into 8 thematic series: Deep Sea, Glacier, Galaxy, Forest, Tundra, Volcano, Shire and Desert.
Each paint includes pigments from different colour groups, resulting in beautiful play between different colours. Try out Deep Sea Indigo, for example, and you will see a combination of both violet and green pigments emerge from your wash. The interaction of these colours varies depending on the type of paper and amount of water used. Try out these colours on rough paper for a more pronounced effect.
All Horadam Supergranulating Watercolours are fully intermixable with the standard Schmincke Horadam Aquarell Watercolour Range.

The colours are quite subtle and granulate well. Good paint quality i expect from Schmincke products. When mixing 3 or 4 colours they can become muddy. Overall I am happy with them. Angela Harpham (Sheffield) on 15 Apr 2022
