There is probably no better painting medium that watercolour for capturing the English landscapes in all its complex moods. For Yorkshire based artists Robert Brindley it's something of a passion. In this DVD he reveals his secrets for creating watercolour paintings that are full of atmosphere and light. There are four full demonstrations on this DVD with subjects including a Yorkshire coastal scene and boats moored in the picturesque harbour of Staithes near Whitby. Robert Brindley is a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the author of several books on painting.

I have been painting for over 20 years in watercolor, but still like to see other painters work. Robert Brindley to me, is in the lead when it comes down to teaching. I have watched this DVD now, twice a day for the past week, and it just gets better and better.
Thank you Ken Bromley, for giving me a taste of what art is all about.
An excellent DVD... Steve Garside (Devon) on 13 Nov 2011
I like the fact Robert Brindley in this DVD tells you exactly which colour he is using which some artists seem to gloss over. His style looks very loose but this is achieved with very precise brushwork - achieving this effect has eluded me until now. At least I can see how it is done- which no amount of reading a book on the subject can convey. Catherine Scott (Thornton Cleveleys, United Kingdom) on 14 Jan 2014
