Brian Ryder's passion is creating truly atmospheric oil paintings out of subjects that many artists would walk right past.
On this DVD he visits the wetlands of the Norfolk broads neat the home of one of Englands best loved landscape painters, Edward Seago, and shows how to create an exciting landscape painting out of virtually nothing.
The DVD also includes Brian Ryder's Guide to colour mixing - designed to take the mystery out of getting the colour just right in oil painting.
Brian is a popular teacher demonstrator and author of books on painting and a provisional Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
Duration: 118 mins

Brian Ryder has the knack of making the viewer feel that he is actually on site with the artist. An excellent teacher and entertainer who seems to convey his thought processes out loud as he paints concealing nothing and giving the viewer the benefit of all his painting 'secrets' and years of experience. I intend to buy his other DVDs as soon as possible. Highly recommended. Trevor Denniss (Erpingham, United Kingdom) on 30 Jul 2013
