  • excellent starter pack - Mini Starter Pack 20 watercolour paper sheets

I haven't painted in water colours for over 12 years. The paper I was using (cheap stuff from art college) wasn't performing like I wanted it to. I was unsure what to buy for the technique / effect I was trying to achieve. By buying this pack I'm able to play around with the paint, at the moment I'm really liking the HP papers in the pack. • Such a good idea - Mini Starter Pack 20 watercolour paper sheets

Having just started with watercolour it is difficult to know what paper works best. I started with an ordinary stationary shop brand paper as I was not aware of what else there was out there. The choice of paper is a real challenge to the beginner and so to be able to get a sample pack of top brand papers to try saves on the expense of buying full sheets or pads and getting stuck with paper that doesn't suit. Thank you for labelling all the papers in pencil to make identification easy. Lorraine Heyworth (Chester, United Kingdom) on 13 Sep 2013
