Liquitex Matt Medium - Ken Bromley Art Supplies

Liquitex Matt Medium

    Fluid Painting Medium

    Texture: Fluid
    Sheen: Matte
    Relative Opacity: Transparent

    • Creates a matte, non-reflecting finish when added to acrylic colors.
    • Mix into any acrylic paint to increase transparency and extend color, increase matte sheen, increase film integrity, ease flow of paint and add flexibility and adhesion of paint film.
    • Mix with Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish to produce a semi-gloss or satin medium.
    • Opaque when wet, translucent when dry.

A classic medium used to give fluidity to delicate brushwork or to act as a low sheen adhesive for collage. This medium has a creamy consistency and is great with opaque colours.

    • Perfect - Liquitex Matt Medium 946ml

I go through loads of this stuff and it's perfect for pasting my collage papers onto my surface. Dawn Maciocia (Kirkcaldy, United Kingdom) on 19 Aug 2012

    • Liberal use - Liquitex Matt Medium 118ml

Not as strong as I would have liked. I could have done with a bigger pot and more liberal use. Trevor Barton (Oxford, United Kingdom) on 10 Jul 2012

    • Got yer washes right here! - Liquitex Matt Medium 946ml

Mix with ink or pigment and you'll more wash than you can shake a stick at for a fraction of the cost. Also good for glazes, candy-coats, paint recovery, thinning paints without pigment break and if desperate airbrushing (but the AB medium is much better.
