The Derwent Pastel Shades 12 Paint Pan Set contains twelve pans of water-soluble paints in soft, refreshing pastel shades. Each colour in this set is soft and light and can be applied as a delicate, light wash or layered up for a bright finish. Once dry, each colour is permanent, so previously dissolved layers won't reactivate as you layer them. This set comes in a small, durable plastic case - ideally sized for travel - and includes a mini waterbrush, a sponge and five mixing palettes.
Colours in the Pastel Shades Paint Pan Set can be used alone or mixed with other Derwent pencils, pens and paint pans - including all other Derwent Paint Pan Travel Sets. They have a gouache-style formulation and are an ideal complement to Inktense and Metalic paint sets. Combine them to create an array of stunning effects.
This set contains the following colours: Lemon, Peach, Coral Pink, Pink Flamingo, Orchid Pink, Lavender, Cornflower Blue, Turquoise, Mint, Artichoke, Storm Grey, Silver Blue

This is a really nice set of paints which produce a lovely range of colours for a 'summer collection'. Not transparent - more like gouache. I bought them to use with my Derwent Inktense pencils as they will give a 'softer' effect. Very pleased. Shirley Batten-Smith (Watford, United Kingdom) on 11 Jun 2021
I have 3 of these little paint sets now, and I just love them. I’m a real newby to painting, so don’t expect any technical info from me, but I love using them. Good range of colours, easy to mix, good coverage. For me, they are just brilliant. Avril Kay (Warrington, United Kingdom) on 14 Jul 2021
I'm a raw beginner, so don't expect to find out much technical info from me. What I can say is I love these little paint pan sets, and I am gradually building up a collection of them. The colours in this one are gorgeous and go on smoothly and easily. I haven't tried the water pen, I've read mixed reviews on them. This didn't matter to me as I prefer to use my own brushes.
