Derwent Lightfast Pencils

Lovely deep, dark black, perfect for eyes when drawing animals

Excellent value and work well

I have tried these Lightfast pencils on Pastelmat and Fabriano Artistico paper. They are creamy, blend really well with each other and with stumps, lay pigment down well and take subsequent layers from any oil based pencil; I have used Lightfast, Polychromos and Luminance with light colours layering over dark well. I have found they are excellent at providing a light base layer for light coloured items, particularly fur. Am looking forward to trying some different techniques out with these pencils which with more colours added to the range, will be giving Luminance a run for the money in my opinion. Gteat job Derwent
