The Daylight Techne Artist & Drafting Lamp can help bring out the artist in you. This lamp is specially designed to be easily mounted onto easels, drafting tables, drawing boards and work benches and provides excellent coverage for artwork up to A1 size! It comes with a universal easel metal clamp and a G-clamp for moving it from your easel to your drawing station.
With 90+ CRI the Techne artist & drafting lamp is also unique in its design and function. Light can be positioned exactly where you need it as the lamp has a fully flexible arm allowing 360° shade rotation and a 320° head-flip system. As light can be directed precisely this lamp allows you to get up close to your artwork to create even the smallest details in excellent lighting conditions.
The lamp's G-clamp can be clamped onto a surface up to 5.4cm deep
The lamp's universal easel metal clamp can be clamped onto an easel part up to 4.1cm deep
Daylight LED Lamps do not emit UV.
There is a 2 year warranty from the Daylight Company on this lamp which includes the LED light unit. On average an LED bulb will last 11-15 years based on 10 hours of daily use.

Perfect for painting by
This is my second daylight lamp for painting. Bought to replace an earlier model because it is more compact and does not need bulbs.
I use it on a table easel, which as it is less bulky than the earlier model, is more practical. Two clamps supplied for both easel and table use. Very solid and sturdy in use.
Very bright, illuminating my work area as well as the easel, but the light is easily directed and does not dazzle.

The measurement given of 43cm width is correct BUT this is not the measurement of the bulb/lit section which is only 33cm. At 10 cm shorter it makes a big difference when working on a larger canvas. I've used it working on an A1 landscape (which it says it will accommodate) but find I have to move it around to light up sections, which isn't ideal.
The light itself is very well made of machined metal and very sturdy. Fittings are good apart from the plastic 'wing nuts' which hold the easel plate in place. These may wear out if you need to detach and reattach it with any regularity. I may change them to metal wing nuts.
The CRI is good for colour matching and the cable is quite long.
Overall I'm impressed but would suggest it's better suited to smaller size works.8 of 8 people found this review helpful. Did you?Perfect for the job
Well made, fixes to my easel not tried it on the table yet. The light has made a big difference especially in these dark wintry days
