Brush tip in have a slight spring, and hold their shape. The water reservoir fills through vacuum, and has a push button to release the desired amount of water. The fibre tip looks like an ink marker. Have used all three with a variety of media. Alexis Moore (Burlington, USA) on 22 Sep 2015
I'm a chronic user of brushpens for watercolour so was thrilled to see that Caran D'Ache had entered the game. Sadly these ones are slow to 'ooze water' and end up being always slightly too dry to be effective for my needs. Others needs may vary though so don't be put off by my review. In fact I read one very good review which inspired this purchase.
I still find the best on the market are the cheap $7 Zig brushpens made by Kuretake and found in craft shops (i think sometimes under other names). They are just as good as something ten times as expensive.
Big shame about the Caran D'Ache as they are so good with so many other products. Dave (Australia) on 4 Jul 2016
