Caran d'Ache Prismalo Watercolour Pencils

Prismalo Watercolour Pencils by Caran d'Ache are the first colour pencils with a water-soluble lead ever to be designed. Then they were invented in 1931 they revolutionised the drawing and illustration for artists. This new medium allowed a straight pencil line, to be transformed into watercolour opening up endless new opportunities for the artist.

With 80 luminous colours in the range, the high quality leads are highly lightfast with a high pigment density. The 3mm leads are harder than the Supracolour range making them good for detailed work, illustration, graphic art, and artistic drawing.

Can be used to produce watercolour effects and mixed media.

To see which colours are included in each set download the Caran d'Ache Prismalo Watercolour Pencil Colour Chart, or click on one of the numbered tabs above.

  • Perfect!

I have used them continually and it is so good to know Caran d'Ache still go on - I have had them since my childhood, some years back!
