Caran d'Ache Gouache is a water-based paint with a natural vegetable binder and no plasticizer. The paint is water-soluble with a high pigment concentration, luminous colours and good light resistance.
Water-soluble, opaque and transparent painting on paper or cardboard. The tablets are slowly cooked and then cut and dried in the open air for even blocks of colour.

These Caran d'Ache pans are truly excellent. I'm astonished at how quickly they activate compared with my usual medium of watercolour.

I just love these. Great vibrant colours and so wonderfully portable. The paint brush bristles is very good, but it did fall apart at the metal to wood joint after one just one use, which was very disappointing. However, a replacement was received in the post very swiftly.
