The roots of Sennelier watercolour paints are to be found in the Impressionist School. Formulated after consultation with many different artists from all over the world, Sennelier L'Aquarelle offers a watercolour paint that is tailored to the needs of today's artists, to provide unparalleled luminous, brilliant and intense colour. Made in France using the same traditional methods for more than a century, these paints are bound with a superior Kordofan Gum Arabic binder and contain honey to provide incomparable brightness and smoothness. The amount of honey included has been adjusted over time to provide optimum vibrancy and consistency. Only the finest artists' pigments are used and are ground to a very fine paste – ensuring brilliant colour and maximum lightfastness so your work will stand the test of time.
Now available in 10ml tubes in 98 colours.
Some different colours compared to the 'house standard', and most of them useful alternatives. If you haven't used artist's quality before then you're in for a treat. F W Brown (Richmond, United Kingdom) on 11 Oct 2018
I am steadily and progressively building my palette of Sennelier paint. These paints involve the use of honey in the manufacturing process and, for me, produce such vibrant colour that I prefer them. I'm sure other artists will prefer other well known and reputable brands, but these suit me well as I'm trying to use a more bold approach to my preferred palette. I would recommend this range of paints to anyone pursuing a similar approach. Stephen Rider (Oldham, United Kingdom) on 30 Dec 2019
I do like the quality of Sennelier wc paints. Good colour pigmentation and they do go a long way. Some colours, however - Ultramarine is one of them - are used up very quickly. Not sure what the problem is, but not as good as W&N paints. BRIAN OSWALD (Maidenhead, United Kingdom) on 11 Nov 2020
