A paint palette is an essential part of an artists' kit. Usually made from wood, plastic or ceramic, they can vary greatly in shape and size, depending on what you want to use them for.
Traditionally oil painters use a thin wooden palette, often in a kidney shape, but we also have a selection of plastic and perspex palettes which allow artists to see the colour more easily.
Watercolour palettes are generally made from plastic or porcelain, with mixing wells where artists can mix their colours.
We also stock special palettes for oil and acrylic artists, designed to keep their paint wet and usable for several days at a time.
