A traditional round head shape for all-purpose work. Can be used for broad strokes yet it will also form a sharp point. They possess excellent colour holding, sensitivity, spring and durability. Seamless, golden brass ferrules. Red wood-grained polished handles.
I have used one of these brushes since they first came out several years ago, it's a size 10 and incredibly hard wearing and great for watercolours. If I had to start over again, I would buy these in preference to sable, as they are really very good.
I have bought these two, sizes 4 and 2, for detail in oil painting and they perform very well and clean easily. David Molloy (Rossendale,, United Kingdom) on 27 May 2012
Sceptre brushes are nearly as good as sable and much more affordable. Joyce (Edinburgh, United Kingdom) on 10 May 2012
I have used these brushes for years. I paint in oils and use the 00 brush for all the fine detail. Thomasin Fowler (Martock, United Kingdom) on 12 Mar 2012
