It has a similar degree of spring as sable brushes and fine pointing qualities too. Colour holding is equal to any animal hair, but its finest asset is the ability to withstand the rigours of misuse and general wear and tear. Seamless nickel ferrules. Black polished handles with gold tips.
These brushes have short handles.
If I only had room to take one brush on a day out sketching and painting then this one would be the one I would take. Useful for washes and making lines with the edge. Peta Taylor (Warburton, Australia) on 29 Oct 2012
Excellent quality brushes at a reasonable price. I use these watercolour brushes for watercolour but mainly for painting very fine detail in oil and acrylic. I've tried pure sable for detail work in oils and acrylic but the Prolene work better at a fraction of the cost. Ron Mitchell (Tickton, United Kingdom) on 17 Oct 2012
