Series A Hog Brush Filbert Oil Painting Brush
These fine quality hog brushes are made from Jyukeis hog which is the highest grade of Chinese bristle presently obtainable and considered by connoisseurs to be without equal. The bristle is extremely firm and in the case of Long and Short Flats incurves to a beautiful razor's edge imparting much spring and being highly responsive to oil paint.
However, their greatest virtue of all is in their ability to maintain their good shape even after many hours of continuous use and cleaning. There are four shapes of brushes in this range, and they all sell at the same price. Seamless nickelled brass ferrules. Long green polished handles.

Lovely brushes, a shame about the sticker on the ends. (Series A Hog Brush Filbert Size 2)
by P H Salmons (Wrexham, United Kingdom) on 16 Apr 2012"These brushes are very good and hard wearing, but have an unpleasant large bar code sticker on the end. If you try to peel it off, it leaves a sticky patch that is a nuisance; you might get it off with another solvent, but that's a pain. If you leave it on it's still a nuisance. With use, they may partly come off but still leave stickiness and dog ears."

by Nigel Osley (Abergele, United Kingdom) on 18 May 2012"Haven't tried these brushes before, Series B have been fine but these may be better. We shall see. Most retailers put barcode labels on the ends of all brands of brushes. After carefully peeling off the label I also had the problem with the sticky residue. The simple answer is to give the sticky brush end a dusting with baby talc, the problem is then solved. No messy solvent required. Happy painting!"
