by Peter (Newcastle) on 6 Jun 2008"Hi,
the kettle idea to remove dents is good, I order over 200 of these a month and have done for over 4 years, small dents are almost unavoidable due to transit, an easier way to remove the dent is to just use a clean wet cloth on the reverse of the canvas, they pop out straight away and as the material dries tighten up perfectly. If the dents right in the edge where you can't get the cloth, just pour water in, it all dries in the end."
Good value for money
by Olly (u.k) on 30 Jul 2006"Good value for money - however, care needs to be taken when handling as they can dent very easily."

by Tom (London) on 27 Sep 2006"Yes i agree with above, some of the canvases had small pressure marks on them from where they had been stacked. Other than that, the canvases are fine quality and excellent value for money. Highly recommended."

by Nigel (Chesterfield) on 2 Jul 2007"I would use approx 50 of these canvases every month and find them excellent to paint on. Sometimes small dents appear on the surface but I apply a damp sponge and rub the back of the canvas and it brings them out. The price of these Loxley Ashgate Canvases offer great value for money highly recommended."

by john (edinburgh) on 2 Mar 2007"Excellent value. A very decent quality of canvas. Re comments about dents in the canvas, these can be easily removed by applying a warm (NOT HOT) iron to the back of the canvas."

by Mike (E. Yorkshire) on 2 Mar 2007"I have had one lot of these canvases. They were great. As with any canvas you need to store well. I am about to order my second batch.
Thanks Artsupplies. As I am a disabled pensioner this offer is truly good.

Re dents...
by Carl (Walsall) on 26 Jul 2007"I've found that the easiest way to remove dents is to simply 'boil the kettle' - hold the dent over the kettle and as the steam rises at the end, it will flatten it out itself. Very quick and very easy - i've done it many times with perfect results."
