Wishlists

The wishlist allows you to store any products which you may wish to buy in future, and don't want to forget about. When logged in, you can add to and view your wishlist at any time, where you will see all the products which you have added to date. You can also make items on your wishlist publicly visible, so your friends and family know exactly what gifts to get you!

Adding products to the wishlist

First of wishlist1all, you need to have an account with the website and be logged in (click here for more information on user accounts). Once logged in, you will see a small yellow star next to each product as you browse the site. Click this star to add the product to your wishlist.

 

 

Managing your wishlist

Once you have added some products to your wishlist, you can manage them by going to "My Account" and clicking the "View Wishlist" option on the left-hand menu. The options available are as follows:

add to cart - adds the product to your shopping cart..
remove - remove the product from your wishlist.
make public - moves the product from the private wishlist to the public wishlist (see below for more info).
make private - moves the product from the public wishlist to the private wishlist.

Public Wishlists

When you move a product onto your public wishlist, it becomes visible to people other than yourself via a special URL (web address). Others can view the products on this wishlist by visiting this URL. Public wishlists are very useful for giving others gift ideas for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas etc. When someone buys something from your public wish list it is removed from the list so that no one else buys you the same thing.

You can view the contents of your public wishlist by clicking the 'Public Wishlist' tab on the Wishlist page. On this page you can type a personalised message to those who visit your public wishlist, and there is a feature which allows you to email the link to friends and family members, so that they can click straight to the list!
